Tryon Garden Club

Since 1928, the Tryon Garden Club members have been dedicated to the advancement of gardening and the protection of wildflowers, birds, and wildlife.  Today, we are a vibrant group of individuals, coming from all walks of life and experiences.  We are united by a common interest in contributing to our magnificent natural world.  Whether in our gardens or at Pearson’s Falls and Glen, we are fulfilling the Club’s mission – to protect, beautify and educate. In 2018, the Club celebrated its 90th Anniversary.

The Club is active in three general areas:

  • Pearson’s Falls and Glen

  • Civic beautification

  • Education of our members and the community at-large

Our mission includes collaborating with others.  We are active members of the Garden Club of North Carolina, as well as cooperating with the Blue Ridge Natural Heritage Site, North Carolina Birding Trail Site, the Smithsonian Institution Archives of American Gardens and Conserving Carolina.

We are always looking to add new members to the Club and would welcome a conversation with you.  For further information, please contact Donna Southworth or Jackie Weedon, Membership Co-chairs or Susan Kelley, Tryon Garden Club President. Click here for a link to the New Member Application

Donations to help support our mission are welcome!
