The Tryon Garden Club was established in 1928 by a group of women interested in the advancement of gardening, the development of home grounds, the furthering of city beautification, the stimulation of interest in cooperative gardening and the protection of wildflowers, birds and wildlife. The mission of the Garden Club guides the club in the conservation and preservation of this magnificent natural wonder, Pearson's Falls and the Glen.
